➡ Exclusive Speaker Event ⬅

The Society is deeply honoured to welcome Brigadier Lenny Brown and his team from the UK Ministry of Defence's Defence Concepts and Doctrine Centre into a speaker event we are holding; they will tell us about how they identify "Global Strategic Trends".

This will be the current Society board's first-ever face-to-face meeting, after only holding all our highly successful events online throughout the 2020-21 academic year due to the ongoing COVID crisis.

❗ Face masks must be worn and attendance is limited to an audience of 30. ❗

Attending this event will be an excellent opportunity to get to see what the society does, to join the Society as members and become part of the Society's new management team so that we can deliver an orderly transition of power for this incoming team.

Important Details
*Wednesday, 22nd September - 17:30-19:00pm, in the Hilton Grosvenor, Kelvin Suite

😊 STRATEGY AND SECURITY SOCIETY - FIRST IMPRESSIONS 😊

The Strategy and Security Society would love to let you know who we are, for those of you who are joining the University of Glasgow this September for the 1st time.

In short, we are a small club that provides numerous social and educational opportunities throughout each academic year concerning a wide range of activities in relation to the fields of strategy and security.

Just to name a few, we hold:

➡ Quiz nights
➡ Careers/Employability events
➡ Speaker events with very successful and prominent figures providing lectures and discussions on their relevant fields, such as academia, the navy, the army, the airforce, diplomacy, NGOs, and nuclear weapons.

🔵 Podcasts and frequent social media posts on articles to do with strategy and security are other key opportunities our society has been providing to its members.

What better way is there to impress upon your peers, your family and achieve excellent career opportunities than to make the most of your time at the University of Glasgow by taking part in these events and be able to ask questions to these figures, which will have you stand out in the eyes of these distinguished and well-accredited people?

We look forward to seeing you at the Society!
