hosted a thought provoking night at the Not Your Student Documentary premiere featuring students, HE staff and sector professionals produced by Osinubi, Oluwatomisin and Anthony Aladehunsi. This was a fantastic and innovative piece of work by our Student President 2025/26. 🍿 🎥

The documentary explores the realities of student life today, going beyond the statistics and metrics to uncover the lived experiences of students. It was followed by a panel discussion on what needs to change in the sector.

The documentary will be hosted on our YouTube channel later in the summer.

How could your vote in the Scottish Elections impact your housing as a student?

Over the past two years, we’ve been working hard to push student housing up the agenda, and what we’ve seen is simple: decisions made in Parliament directly affect your rent, your rights, and your experience at university.

Many of you told us that accommodation is one of your biggest challenges. This article breaks down why voting matters and how to approach it in an informed way.

This isn’t about telling you who to vote for. It’s about helping you ask the right questions and understand the impact your vote can have.

Be part of something bigger, your voice helps shape what happens next.

Have you ever felt like being a student isn’t just difficult because of one thing, but because of everything happening at once?

You’re not alone, and it’s time that reality is properly heard.

After a year of campaigning and representing students, your Student President has created a documentary, ‘Not Your Student’, bringing together student voices, staff, and sector professionals to explore what the student experience really looks like in 2026.

We’re inviting you to a special premiere event:
