GUEST - Glasgow University Environmental Sustainability Team 🌿Amplifying student voices to UofG management + encouraging change on campus and beyond🌿 Feel free to get in touch with us if you have any questions!

GUEST are a team of students employed by the university to encourage and celebrate sustainable practices on campus. We work over eight branches that work together to engage staff and students with environmental and social sustainability. Currently our branches are working on:

- Sustainable Transport and Bike Hub - check out our weekly Bike Hub (a free bike repair service on campus).

- Biodiversi

ty - running gardening sessions every Sunday 12-1pm in the Viewfield Lane Gardens (on campus).

- Sustainable Food - running a community fridge on campus and working with various organisations including ZWS and GCPH to work towards educating people on the sustainability issues around food.

- Sustainable Labs - helping UofG laboratories to implement the sustainable LEAF program.

- Student and Community Engagement - check out the monthly Climate Cafes (informal discussions around an environmental topic).

Are you a graduating student with lab coats that you don’t need? Or maybe you’re taking modules next year that won’t require lab time? GUEST are collecting lab coats to give to new students about to start their studies.

Please bring lab coats to either:
Eco-Hub, Level 2 of the Boyd Orr building
Graham Kerr Building Reception.

Are you a PGR student? Join us for a series of events providing informal social space, wellbeing activities, and some creative and practical sustainability learning opportunities including:
🌿 Weekly PGR gardening sessions
🎨 Craft session
🚲 Group cycle
🎬 Movie night
🏛️ Radical history tour
🍃 Local foraging walk

The details of these events will be shared following our launch event on Wednesday 29th of April 5.30-7pm at the Eco-Hub (Level 2, Boyd Orr Building), a chance for us to gather around a relaxed craft activity (no experience needed!) and get to know one another. We hope to see you there!
