The opening marks a new educational philosophy: children should not wait until their teenage years to begin serious engagement with science.
Instead, they should be introduced to scientific thinking from an early age.
In traditional school systems, children usually spend their early years concentrating on core subjects such as mathematics, language, literature and history.
Subjects such as physics, chemistry and biology are often introduced much later, when students reach secondary-school age.
Einstein Science School challenges this sequence.
Its central idea is that science should not be treated only as a later academic subject. It should be used from childhood as a method for developing the mind.
From around the age of six, children can be introduced to scientific concepts through age-appropriate experiments, visual models, practical discovery, observation and interactive learning.
The goal is not to burden young students with advanced formulas.
The goal is to develop a different intellectual habit: to ask why, test ideas, observe evidence, build hypotheses and search for explanations. That is the foundation of scientific thinking.
