Here are some photos from this month’s DofE Gold Celebration in the beautiful Buckingham Palace gardens 🌿👑

This annual celebration recognises participants past and present, along with the incredible volunteers who make every DofE journey possible.

This year, the charity celebrated its 70th anniversary, and our students enjoyed a festival-style vibe, with giant deckchairs, bunting and activities, as well as the inspirational guest speakers.

A huge well done to our fantastic students, Alex, Matt, Charlie, Max, Calum and Edith 🎉👏

It's Mental and Physical Health month at the College. Students had the opportunity to engage with several workshops and events, including HIV awareness, exam stress, substance awareness, and invisible illnesses.

We were proud to celebrate an extraordinary year group of ClassAction students this month at the annual Classys event.

It was an inspiring afternoon filled with live music, performances, heartfelt speeches and, of course, the presentation of the Classys: awards recognising exceptional achievement across a range of categories.

We couldn’t be more proud of everything these students have accomplished. Here’s to celebrating their success and looking ahead to all that comes next ✨

Our first year diploma company have been busy crafting a new piece of work, inspired by Thornton Wilder's 'Our Town'.

'Our Town Godalming' brings together research with , interviews with care home residents, and lifelong locals, to create a performance rooted in real community stories.

The production is touring local venues and secondary schools, celebrating the voices, history and spirit of Godalming.

We finally have all the offers in for our students who have applied to Medicine and Veterinary Medicine courses at university, and what a fantastic year! 🎉

We’re delighted to share outstanding outcomes for our students, reflecting their ambition and the strength of their applications:

🩺 Medicine: Around 74% of applicants secured offers, compared to a national average of 31%
🐾 Veterinary Medicine: A brilliant 75% conversion rate, well above the national 50%

Man-to-Man in the Social Study

Our brilliant Student Welfare & Pastoral SU Officer, Sam, hosted a lunchtime session today to promote men’s wellbeing, and lots of people came along to support.

The event encouraged open conversations and reminded everyone of the importance of checking in on your mates, with games, snacks and drinks helping to create a welcoming space.

This was one of many events and activities running throughout May at Godalming, all tying in with our theme of the month: the importance of mental and physical health.

Sam shared: “I really wanted to raise awareness for men’s mental health… there is still a strong stigma around asking for help, and today helped shine a light on the struggles men face. I am very pleased with how much attention we got, hopefully making it easier for people to reach out in the future.”
