Time for the Second Event of the Year !!

It's Halloween time so join us at the Outhaus London: LeFreak Halloween Party 🎃

The event will take place on Friday October 29th at Bethnal Green Working Men's Club (E2 6NB). We will be meeting there at 22:30 to hand out the tickets 🎟

So to secure your ticket please send us a message and make a payment of £5 as soon as possible as the Event is likely to sell out quickly. If you have any other questions we will try to get back to you as soon as we can.

What does it mean to be q***r?

In this word cloud, our board members have collected several terms they associate with q***rness. As somebody within the LGBTQIA+ community, you may identify with a few of these. But of course that is not a must as being q***r does not require any labels!

Ultimately, q***r can mean a lot of things. Once used as a slur (q***r was originally a synonym for strange), it has long been reclaimed and is now used to self-describe by many people. Today, it is most commonly used as an umbrella term for LGBTQIA+.

As the Hult Q***r Students‘ Union, we want you to ask yourself: What does being q***r mean to me? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section, via a DM, or at our next meeting! :)

Thank you to everyone that attended our Onboarding Meeting!

For our first proper social event, we will be watching “Fagwartz 2” - an interactive drag parody of Harry Potter - on Monday, October 11th from 19:30-22:30. The event will take place at The Glory (281 Kingsland Rd, London E2 8AS). Feel free to check out their Instagram page which is tagged on the picture.

Thank you to everyone that attended our stand at the Club Fair this week! :)

For those who are new members or generally interested in joining the Hult Q***r Students‘ Union, we have planned an Onboarding Meeting.

When? Friday, October 1st at 17:00
Where? GA

There will also be a link posted to the WhatsApp group for those that will join us on Zoom.

During the event, we want to talk with you about our general plans for the year and how you can get involved. It should also serve as an opportunity for members to get to know one another. :)
