Paraprofessional Clinical Club Surrey Welcome to Surrey's Paraprofessional Clinical Club! We host academic talks/events encouraging the collaboration between specialists in the veterinary field

Background:

ParaProf was founded by one VetBio student and one VetMed student, early on in the 2016 academic year. We aim to explore the different fields both supporting and surrounding the area of Veterinary care/medicine- including animal behaviour, physiotherapy, farriery, dentistry and research! Aims:

- To encourage and develop relationships with professions that support and work alongside t

he veterinary profession, by increasing understanding of the expertise that each can bring to improving the health and welfare of the animal(s)

- To help students recognise their personal and professional limits, and know how to seek assistance, support and advice when necessary from other professions; encouraging the importance of collaboration with other professions

- To set up strong relationships with members of paraprofessional organisations (within but not limited to; farriery, dentistry, physiotherapy and behaviourists)


Throughout the academic year we plan to explore the scope of such professions with talks from guest speakers and other exciting events: We hope to see you all there! Feel free to message or email us with any questions/queries regarding events or how you can get involved.
