Who's up for gokarting within the next couple of weeks ? Which days are best for everyone ?

So, there seems to have been a few of people joining this page since the start of the semester, but the society team from the 2011/12 academic year are now all on placement. Does anyone know whether anyone has taken the society on this year so I can pass the admin rights on?

If anyone is interested in getting involved they should head down to the teams lab!

Team SURTES Vehicle Research and Design Centre Open Day is happening from 12pm this Wednesday!! The team are relocating to the old Amigo's site, so please come down to have a look around, have a chat with the sponsors, especially those of you looking for placements! We will also be holding our ***AGM*** for next years society starting at 2pm, at the new site, so anyone looking for a great opportunity for running for either President, Vice President, Treasurer and possibly a Social Secretary, get down there for 2pm! We can't stress enough how important it is to keep the society going at the most critical time of the year for the team, when we're all starting to build the car and get it finished in time! The society is starting to get a load of projects for the team, and we desperately need volunteers! So how would you like to volunteer for a society position in the society dedicated to the University's only motorsport event??

See you all at the meeting today. Tickets for Go-Karting at Crawley on 9th December will be available for £20 today! Racing on a two tier track. Travel costs to be confirmed but we're getting there by minibus.

The committee are starting to organise a second practise session for our Go-Karting championship - only this time we're trying out a different track; something no other society has done! We will be racing on the three tier track at Crawley. We still get student discount. only for the three tiers it will be £30 (plus travel). Its the same company, so same rules apply.
The date we will be organising the event for is 2nd December (Friday Week 10), racing at a slightly later time than normal due to travel time.
