Improving science education is one thing; embedding lasting change is another.

The new PSQM three year pathway is designed to help schools take a more strategic approach to science leadership and subject development, supporting sustained growth, deeper embedding of practice and continuous improvement over time.

The core PSQM programme establishes strong foundations in evaluative science leadership. The additional years then build responsive and expert leadership capacity to embed, refine and extend the positive impact on children’s learning year-on-year.

Flexible start dates. Flexible professional learning. Meaningful impact.

Looking for a professional learning programme that drives meaningful, long-term impact in primary science across your school?

The PSQM programme is designed with flexibility built in, supporting both professional learning and Quality Mark recognition in ways that work for busy schools.

Here’s how:

🔹 Flexible start dates
Choose either a September or April start, enabling schools to complete the core programme over an academic or calendar year.

🔹 Flexible online professional learning
Join live online leadership development sessions with a choice of dates and times. If you can’t attend live, recordings are available on the VLE so you can revisit content whenever it suits you.

🔹 Flexible Quality Mark submission windows
Most schools submit at the end of the core programme year. Schools on the three year pathway also benefit from two additional submission windows, supporting progress at the right pace.

🔹 Flexible access to online resources
Schools have ongoing access to a comprehensive VLE Resource Library, including recordings, downloads, and leadership support materials.

🔹 Flexible expert support from a Professional Learning Partner

One-to-one support is provided throughout the core year. Additional focused support sessions can be purchased at any time.

Reminder to all PSQM schools! 🌟

Our RSC CPD sessions are back for the autumn term fully funded for schools by the Royal Society of Chemistry. 🎉

All schools currently engaged in the PSQM programme get access to this fully funded programme of webinars and workshops, offered in addition to the main PSQM programme.

These sessions are designed to deepen understanding of primary science, provide practical ideas, and support subject leaders and whole-school development.

Our interactive workshops provide a programme of professional learning opportunities linked to the Primary Science Quality Framework. These sessions will deepen understanding of specific areas and provide ideas for activities and strategies to use in school.

Our programme of webinars features a range of expert speakers who will be sharing their latest thinking in primary science education on a range of topics. Each session will consist of a 45- minute presentation followed by a short question and answer session.

Alongside live sessions, don’t forget the Pockets and Spotlights available on the Virtual Learning Environment. These are pre-recorded resources ready to watch, use, and download whenever suits you.
