Recently our Level 1 Electrical Installation students from Huntingdon Campus had the fantastic opportunity to tour the Hotel Chocolat facility in Huntingdon.

They began with a short induction by Chris Palmer Training Lead, followed by an in-depth tour led by Sam Wardell Lead Engineer. Students were able to see the machinery used in the production and packaging of the chocolate, as well as gain an insight into the engineering required to maintain the equipment.

Last week, CRC was proud to welcome an esteemed delegation of Ministers of Education, Ambassadors and High Commissioners from across Africa for a round table discussion on vocational education, training and qualifications.

Representing CĂ´te d'Ivoire, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Republic of the Congo, the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, Zambia and Zimbabwe, the visit provided a valuable opportunity to share insights and explore how vocational education can be developed within their educational systems.

There were meaningful discussions with our leadership team and the delegation also had the chance to experience our vocational training facilities first-hand, meeting with teaching staff and seeing the impact of skills-based education in action.

We were honoured to host such an important international conversation and to contribute to the ongoing development of high-quality vocational education worldwide and look forward to taking steps forward together.

🏆We’re league champions!

What a way to end the football season! After 28 matches and an incredible campaign, Cambridge Regional College – Huntingdon Campus have been crowned League Champions, finishing 1st with an outstanding 62 points and lifting the trophy for the very first time in the Cambridgeshire Football Association Disability Football League.

A massive well done as well to the Cambridge Campus team, who secured a brilliant 3rd place finish. Their commitment and determination across the season played a huge part in this shared success a true team effort across both campuses.

Every single player has shown dedication, sportsmanship and teamwork, and we couldn’t be prouder. We now have a very happy group of students and a well deserved trophy we can’t wait to display!

We have had another unforgettable celebration at our Huntingdon campus today, celebrating culture, community and sanctuary at CRC. đź’› Students and staff joined together to share delicious food from all over the world, to admire traditional clothes from different cultures, and of course, to dance together to fabulous music!
Our ESOL students worked together to create quizzes in English, showcasing facts and insights about their home countries, and to produce tasty typical dishes - from pierogies to pakoras, banitsa to biryani! And not to forget a truly amazing bouquet of flowers made entirely from marshmallow!

As a College of Sanctuary, CRC is committed to breaking down barriers to education, supporting people seeking sanctuary and raising awareness of the challenges faced by those navigating the asylum system. We are proud to celebrate the diversity of our community today. A huge thank you to everyone involved. Bellies and hearts are both full. đź’›

💛 Celebrating culture, community and sanctuary at CRC 🎉
Our Cambridge Campus came alive last week as we brought together students, staff, partners and our local community to celebrate inclusion, diversity as a College of Sanctuary.

ESOL and Sanctuary seeking students proudly showcased their cultures through food, dress and dance, creating a joyful street‑party atmosphere that reflected the diversity of our community.

A highlight of the event was a powerful performance by our ESOL and Music students with the One World Orchestra, who have been working with our students over the past several months. Through rehearsals and creative collaboration, students developed confidence, communication skills and a strong sense of belonging - culminating in a performance that truly reflected unity through music.

As a College of Sanctuary, we are committed to breaking down barriers to education, supporting people seeking sanctuary and raising awareness of the challenges faced by those navigating the asylum system.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a meaningful celebration of learning, creativity and community.

🌟 An unforgettable week in Dorset for our supported learning students 🌟
Our supported learning students have returned from an incredible residential at Rockley Camp, Dorset building independence, confidence and resilience every step of the way.

From being the first time sleeping under the stars for many and working as a team, to canoeing, climbing, zip wiring and washing up their own plates, every student challenged themselves and achieved something to be proud of.

A huge thank you to the Rockley team and our amazing staff for making this such a positive, empowering experience. Memories made, confidence built, and life skills strengthened đź’™

Our Health and Social Care Level 3 Year 1 students recently visited Woodlands Care Home, where they had the opportunity to plan and deliver activities for residents living with dementia.

Supported by Sarah, Lead Activities Co‑ordinator, students gained invaluable real‑world experience while developing their communication, empathy and person‑centred care skills.

Experiences like this help our learners connect theory to practice and make a meaningful difference within our local community.

Thank you to Woodlands Care Home for welcoming our students and supporting their learning journey.
