🎓 Congratulations to our Class of 2022 graduates!

The latest Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) data highlights the outstanding success of One Sixth Form alumni at university.

✨ 78.1% of our 2022 leavers graduated with a First-Class or Upper Second-Class (2:1) degree.

⭐ For those studying at Russell Group universities, an impressive 89.1% achieved a First or 2:1, outperforming both sixth form colleges and state schools nationally.

🙌 We're also incredibly proud that 85.8% of first-generation university students achieved a First or 2:1 degree, surpassing national figures across sixth form colleges, state schools and independent schools.

These results are a testament to the ambition, hard work and determination of our students, supported every step of the way by our dedicated staff and Careers & Progression Team.

Congratulations to all our graduates. Your success is inspiring, and we can't wait to see what you achieve next. 💙

We are incredibly proud of One Sixth Form College alumnus Alfie Glanville, who will be representing Suffolk at the Special Olympics GB National Summer Games 2026 in Birmingham.

Alfie, 22, from Stowmarket, will compete in the 100m and 200m races after years of dedication to athletics. Having developed a passion for running at primary school, he has gone on to compete nationally and achieve impressive personal bests of 11.9 seconds in the 100m and 24.5 seconds in the 200m.

Alfie recently completed his Supported Internship with One Sixth Form College, having previously studied Sport with us. During his time at college, he was recognised with the Outstanding Young Leader award at Eastern Education Group's Celebration of Achievement ceremony.

Now working at Cerebrum Systems in Ipswich, Alfie continues to pursue his sporting ambitions and hopes to compete internationally in the future.

Everyone at One Sixth Form College wishes Alfie the very best of luck as he represents Suffolk at the Games. Your determination, positivity and dedication inspire us all. 💜 👏

Congratulations to One Sixth Form students Leo and Milo on their fantastic results in their Level 3 BTEC Engineering course!

After two years of hard work, both students are heading on to exciting next steps. 🚀

Leo is hoping to complete a foundation year before studying Chemical Engineering at ⚙️

Milo is off to the to study Mechanical Engineering. 🔧

Looking back on their success, they had some advice for students starting Year 13:

💬 "Just focus on your exams early. As soon as you enter Year 13, just start revising."
💬 "That's not to say don't enjoy your time, but definitely work hard while you have the chance."

A brilliant result for two dedicated BTEC Engineering students, and we can't wait to see where their engineering journeys take them next. 👏⚙️✨

Huge congratulations to Jessamy on achieving an incredible 3 A*s and a B across her four A Levels! 🌟

This October, Jessamy will be heading to Corpus Christi College, at to study English.

Jessamy credits her success to the support she received during her time at One Sixth Form, from taking part in essay competitions to gaining the confidence to apply to Cambridge and pursue her passion for English.

Her advice for the next cohort of Year 13 students?
💬 "I think it's best to give yourself a break."
Jessamy highlights the importance of rest, balance and looking after yourself throughout exam season, proving that success comes not only from hard work, but from taking care of yourself too.

A huge congratulations to Leo on achieving AAA in A Level Maths, Physics and Computer Science! 🎉👏

This September, Leo will be starting a Cyber Security Degree Apprenticeship with Sizewell C, combining work and study while earning a degree.

What makes Leo's achievement even more inspiring is that his last mock results were EED. Through hard work, determination and consistent effort, he turned things around and achieved the grades he was aiming for.

His advice to current Year 12 students heading into Year 13?

💬 "You can turn it around quite easily if you actually put in a bit of time and effort. I think stress actually causes more harm than it helps, so it will go alright as long as you actually care about what you're getting."

Proof that mock results don't define your future. Well done, Leo, and best of luck with your exciting next step! 🚀
