It has been mentioned that a closed page would be better for choir communications - Hull University Chapel Choir 15/16 is the name of the closed page. If you haven't been added already, please ask or request.

Hope you've all had a good Christmas break!

Can we make sure the word gets out to all the members of the choir, that if they have Facebook, they should make certain they can see this page as this will be one of the more used methods of contact alongside emails.

There has been a little uncertainty about whether chapel choir is on this evening - we decided not to in the end. However, I want to take this opportunity to thank you all so much for your involvement this year. I feel as though there has been a great deal of positive energy generated, and that we have strong momentum to carry us forward into the next academic year. I shall look forward to seeing many of you again in the choir, but for those of you who are leaving us I want to say: congratulations on your hard work. You have been superb, and will be greatly missed by us all. Good luck, and keep in touch. Simon

The final chapel choir performance of 2014-15 will be this Sunday (tomorrow, 26 April) in Beverley Minster. There is a 0930 rehearsal for a 1030 mass, conducted by Robert Poyser. Please do come and sing for this - we had a relatively small number of people putting their names down on Wednesday, and it would be great to provide a full choir. Dress is smart all black, as there will be no gowns.

Congratulations to you all for your performances and hard work on Thursday. Founder's Day was a resounding success, and many notable alumni and senior staff members came to tell me how impressed they were, and how much they enjoyed your singing. It was an ambitious programme, but you all rose to the challenge and executed it with aplomb. You should be delighted by your performances - you have done the chapel choir a great service, the ripples of which will continue to be felt for many years. Thank you, and well done. I'm very proud of you.
