Educational Research at Lancaster University The Department of Educational Research at Lancaster University has a world class reputation for excellence in both teaching and research.

We provide innovative and specialist postgraduate programmes that are consistently rated as outstanding. For example, the Department was ranked 10th in the UK and top in the North West of England by the Guardian University Guide 2012. In terms of research the Department is one of the best in the Country. The Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) 2008 put us in the top 20 education departments nationally.
