Exciting news! Our very own Dr Andrew Parker from is taking part in The Royal Society's ! πŸŽ‰

Dr Parker will be taking part in the panel "Is the future nuclear" on 5th July, 2.20pm-3pm alongside Matthew Sparkes, writer for New Scientist, Shahnaz Hoque, former nuclear engineer, and Dr Shini Somara, award-winning mechanical engineer and science broadcaster.

Our wonderful spinout Quantum Base is looking for some interns!

Quantum Base is a Lancaster-based deep-tech company developing quantum optical physical unclonable functions (PUFs) for anti-counterfeiting applications - and they're looking for an intern to join their research engineering department!

The job:
βš› A 3-month paid internship designing and making bespoke scientific instruments.
βš› Much of this role will involve taking an open-ended scientific question and building the right tools to explore it!

What we're looking for:
βš› Someone with a background in physics, electronic engineering, computer science (hardware) or material sciences.
βš› A CV, and a description of a project you have built in your own time, ideally hardware or software.
