Grizedale College, named after Grizedale Forest in the Lake District, opened in 1975. The name is of Norse origin and means "Valley of the Wild Boar". (Hence our logo). It is at the heart of campus, and close to shops, catering outlets, the Management School and the George Fox Building. However, the college was completely revamped between 2006-2009 We offer some of the most modern accommodation o

n campus, built to award winning standards. The college itself has a number of facilities available to make life a little easier and hopefully fun. The residences are built adjacent to our administration block which also contains Grizedale Bar, and Grizedale Social Space. Also available here are games such as darts, pool, and dominoes

Please stay safe and look after yourselves. Quiet spaces are available in the common room and LUSU A floor, and security and your JCR team will be around all night to support you - even if you just need someone to talk to. 💙
