Another EU Erasmus+ VET Project is reaching a successful end!
The APT Project aimed to support professionals who are preparing young people for the transition from education to employment, as well as, young people who often need extra guidance to enter and retain a meaningful career.
Emphasys Centre organised, as part of the ‘2019 International Education and Career Fair’, a Multiplier Event to present the results of the APT project. The event was organised on Sunday the 17th of February 2019. During the event apart from the presentation of the project, an INFODESK was set up in order to provide the opportunity for interested people to access the project website, review the support material, created for the Career Advisors, young people, employees and parents, and test the assessment tool designed to guide young people towards viable career paths. The participants discussed with the project officers and coordinator of the Emphasys Centre about the exploitation of the results/products.
Apart from the students, teachers, educators, youth workers, parents and career counselors, several important stakeholders, key people and official bodies, and many others participated in the event and were informed about the ‘APT’ project’s aims, objectives, products and outcomes. Among the visitors were the Minister of Education and Culture, Mr. Costas Hambiaouris, Representatives of the Youth Board of Cyprus, Representatives of the Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus, Members of the Cyprus Computer Society, Career Counselors Cyprus and others.
All the participants were invited to explore the on-line environment of APT, which integrates the results of the project:
1. National reports for career guidance and vocational assessment in each partner country
2. Resources and support material for the Career Advisors, young people, employees and parents
3. Digital Self-assessment tests to guide young people towards viable career paths
It has to be noted that Career Counselors were greatly impressed by the project’s idea and initiative. The APT PACK was submitted to several Career Counselors in order to utilise it as part of their practices.
