🌟 An exciting opportunity has arisen in the School of Mathematical Sciences to join our Student Ambassador Team!

🌟 In this role you will support the Undergraduate Recruitment and Outreach Events for the academic year 2025/26 (including the possibility to work during vacation periods).

🌟 This role is open to any student on a single or joint honours degree within the School of Mathematical Sciences.

🌟 NOTE: No previous work experience is required for the role as full training will be provided for each activity.

We are absolutely thrilled that some of our fantastic undergraduate students are giving some public lectures as a part of their Teaching, Outreach and Public Engagement (TOPE) module at the ’s Secret Cinema!🎉

Come and show them support by registering for their sessions - we’re running two evenings (13th March and 18th March, 7pm-9pm), and it would be wonderful to see people there.

That's a wrap for Lancaster University School of Mathematical Sciences & EDT (The Engineering Development Trust) Residential Insight into University Maths 2025! 🎬

From 28th August - 31st August, we welcomed a group of 34 Year 12 students to our on-campus 4 day Summer School. Throughout the programme of activities, students engaged with lectures and interactive workshops on topics ranging from Julia Sets and Fractals, to Periodic and Aperiodic Tilings. Beyond the academic sessions, students stayed in our student accommodation and got a real taste of university life! The Summer School concluded with a fantastic poster competition, where all six groups presented their work to Professor Gordon Blower and Professor Nadia Mazza from the School of Mathematical Sciences.

It was wonderful to witness the academic and personal growth of the students throughout the Residential! 🙌
