🎓✨ A fantastic start to the new academic year at Launceston Sixth!

It was wonderful to welcome our new Year 12 students and returning Year 13s back to the Sixth Form this week! 💙

📚 Our Year 13 students have got straight back into Sixth Form life, diving into lessons, UCAS applications and progression planning as they look ahead to their next steps. 🎓✈️🏫

🌟 It was also fantastic to welcome our new Year 12s, who have spent today getting to know Sixth Form life through seminars on:

🎓 Post-18 Pathways
🚀 Future Aspirations

And, of course, we couldn't finish the week without a little celebration… DOMINO'S! 🍕🎉🙌

What a wonderful day we had welcoming back our amazing Year 10.😍

After spending time with tutors during Period 0, we had Welcome Day sessions, covering some key areas of school life, including our new Student Voice 🗣️ and Safeguarding ✅ campaigns.

During Period 5, students enjoyed our Welcome (Back) Event 👋, including football ⚽️, hook-a-duck 🦆, a coconut shy 🥥, Jenga 🧩, table tennis 🏓, bean bags 🕳️ and a buzz wire ⚡️.

It was fantastic to see them sharing stories from over the summer, reconnecting with friends and staff, and embracing the day.

Let’s go, Year 10 - bring on GCSE!💪

Meet Ms Rash, our wonderful Vice Principal and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).

Ms Rash will lead our exciting new Safeguarding Campaign alongside Mrs Rowland, our Operational DSL, our ten Staff Safeguarding Champions, and our soon to be appointed Student Safeguarding Champions.

🌿 A warm welcome back to all of our students! 🌿

We are so excited for our ARB students to start using our brand-new garden right in the heart of the school! 🌸✨

To mark the occasion, Mr. Thompson was joined by two fantastic former ARB students, Chase and Bradley! 📸

Bradley dropped by with some brilliant advice for our new students:

1. Pack your bag the night before school 🎒

2. Join one of our school clubs ⚽🎨

3. Never hesitate to ask for help—our staff are always here for you 💙

We also want to give a huge shout-out to Chase, who is celebrating an incredible achievement in Art after securing an outstanding Grade 8! 🎨👏 We are so proud of you, Chase!

⭐ ARB Exam Success ⭐

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our ARB students, who have achieved an exceptional 100% pass rate across all examination entries. 👏 👏

Every student successfully passed their examinations, with all students meeting or exceeding their target grades. 😍

For students with SEND, the journey through education can bring additional challenges, making these achievements even more significant. Every Year 11 leaver left the ARB with formal qualifications across a broad range of subjects, including English, Maths, Science, IT, WorkSkills, Humanities , Pre-Vocational Studies and DofE. 💪

We are also delighted to celebrate one student achieving an incredible Grade 8 in GCSE Art – a fantastic accomplishment! 🎨 🤩

Beyond the results, we are especially proud of how our students have grown. During their time at ARB, they have developed confidence, self-esteem, independence and resilience, becoming young people who believe more strongly in themselves and their abilities. 🪴

These achievements are a testament to the hard work and determination of our students, alongside the dedication and expertise of the staff who have supported them throughout their learning journey. 🍎

We wish all of our Year 11 leavers every success as they take their next steps into further education and beyond. 😊

We’re excited to announce that Launceston College Super Saturdays are back! 🎉

This half term, we have two exciting mornings planned for current Year 5 and Year 6 students, with the opportunity to experience some of the fantastic subjects on offer at Launceston College.

PE Super Saturday - Take part in a range of activities such as badminton, basketball, dodgeball, and fitness in our fitness suite!
