Over 200 members of the Leeds Trinity community attended Trinity Sunday Fun Day on 31 May to celebrate the University's patronal feast and 60th anniversary.

Organised by Leeds Trinity University Chaplaincy, the event at Leeds Trinity’s Horsforth Campus provided an opportunity for staff, students, and alumni to explore and reflect on the institution’s history.

Bex Wilson, an education leader and the founder of Zarach, a West Yorkshire-based charity aiming to end child bed poverty, has been named Chancellor of Leeds Children’s University, a social mobility initiative led by Leeds Trinity University aiming to inspire a love for learning in children.

Alongside her charity work, Bex has over 15 years’ experience in education in Leeds and is passionate about supporting young people to realise their potential. The University awarded her an Honorary Fellowship for her services to education in 2025.

Her appointment reflects a shared commitment to improving outcomes for children and families across the Leeds City Region. Leeds Children’s University works with local schools, community groups, and families to provide inspiring learning opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom.
