The International Study Centre provides specialist degree preparation for international and EU students who would like to study at LJMU. Our programmes consist of academic modules, study skills and English language training, designed to ensure that you have the skills to succeed when you progress onto your degree at the University. Recently we had the great privilege of hosting our LJMU ISC End of Year Celebration for our October students! ✨
It has been an honour to see all our students’ journeys - blossoming from the quiet cohort who joined us in October (of many it was their first time moving to a new country, living away from family and friends, and adapting to a new culture) to confident, responsible and driven young people ready to achieve their goals! 🎓
We are proud to celebrate their hard work with the staff members that have been supporting them throughout this academic year.
From getting to know each-other in mingle bingo, to creating life-long, global friendships, our students have shown determination, kindness and the importance our ISC communities hold. It has been thoroughly enjoyable to work with each and every student and we are looking forward to seeing how they do in their exams!

A special thanks also to our Lead Student Representative Saad for providing a heart-felt speech highlighting the journey and achievements of his fellow peers and also creating a video with various members of the ISC about their time with us.
In our ceremony this year, we had a ‘special nomination award’ highlighting one of our students who was nominated in almost every category! Congratulations to Aishat for her hard-work, dedication and engagement throughout her journey at LJMU ISC – it truly is an achievement! 🧑‍🎓
We also had one of our talented students (Jalair) perform a contemporary hip-hop dance, with other students showing their own dance styles at the end! It is great to see our students engaging in, and sharing their hobbies whilst studying here in the UK.🕺
We will finish this message again expressing gratitude for the LJMU ISC team, and our fabulous students for making such a heart-warming celebration possible! Congratulations October Cohort at LJMU ISC 🎉
