The Liverpool Nature Conservation Society is a new society which aims to bring together people who are passionate about animals, the environment, and just nature in general. This society involves weekly talks from local wildlife charities and animal rescue organisations to talk about their role in conservation and protecting wildlife; sometimes even bringing in live animals for you to meet. Docume

ntary showings, animal fancy dress socials and photography competitions will also form part of this society. There are also volunteering opportunities for people who wish to support conservation and help protect habitats for wildlife, or for those who simply take an interest in the natural world around us.

Hi everyone!

Just a reminder that the deadline to sign yourself up to be a LNCS committee member is 9am tomorrow (27th April). Once applications are in, we will host an AGM (online) to elect the new committee🌿☀️🥰

Not only is the experience of being a committee member really valuable for your HEAR report and CV experience, but the society exposes you and others to incredible conservation work💚

We have an excellent set of contacts for recurring events each year, and money for these, and really would hate for these to be lost if the society wasn't continued😔 We all know how important the climate crisis is, and the value of nature in combatting this, so it would be amazing to contribute! We've had so many good times over the years getting out in nature and doing our bit😄

Please get in contact with us if this is something that interests you, we would love to pass on our society information to you - like cannoeing, foraging, visiting nature reserves, planting trees, and loads more

Hi everyone, we hope you are all keeping well.

Firstly, sorry that we are not messaging under better circumstances, and we get that you have a lot going on right now with your degree.

It appears that the current situation means we can't go ahead with our events for this semester. However, this society needs a new committee for next year, as us guys will be graduating and off to see what conservation jobs we can find out there in the big world!

We will host an AGM (online) to find a new committee, and we really want you to get involved🌿☀️🥰
