We want to discuss constraints faced by women in research and highlight the valuable contributions women in research are making, as well as provide an open space for academic development to encourage more women to pursue a career in research! We are a new LSESU society aiming to provide a space to discuss the constraints faced by women in research and highlight the valuable contributions women in
research are making. The constraints women in research face do not only reduce the opportunities available to women but also reflect the way knowledge is produced and reproduced. We seek a more pluralistic production of knowledge. Therefore, we also aim to address intersectional constraints and invite all persons who are interested in participating in the society. We would like to offer skills workshops, academic panel discussions, career opportunity events, and a mentoring program to empower, inform and inspire our members.
