And just like that, we’ve wrapped up another incredible day of graduation at UEL, with our final 3pm ceremony putting our postgraduate students centre stage.

From the first walk across the stage to the final celebrations, today has been filled with proud moments, big smiles and plenty of memories to take home. And let’s talk about the outfits - they were shining, the smiles were impossible to miss, and safe to say, graduating has never looked this good! ✨

A special congratulations to Sharita Rahmanmim, who delivered today’s Vote of Thanks. After completing her Master’s in International Business Management with Distinction and representing UEL in the Global Experience Programme in Egypt, Sharita’s journey has been one of growth, resilience and embracing every opportunity.

And to every single graduate who celebrated with us today, thank you for making it so special. We’re incredibly proud of everything you’ve achieved and excited to see where your journeys take you next.

What a way to end the day. Congratulations, graduates! 🎓💙

A huge round of applause to our 12:30pm MBA graduates!! 👏🎓

We’ve seen so many moments of pride, happiness and a few very happy tears as our graduates took their walk across the stage and celebrated this incredible milestone with their friends, families, academics and the wider UEL community.

A special moment in today’s ceremony was hearing from our Vote of Thanks student, Karen Pamela Moya Jaramillo. Karen’s UEL journey began in 2015 as an LLB student, and she later returned as a member of staff before completing her MBA in Business Analytics with Distinction while working full-time. Her journey from student to staff member and now Deputy School Manager is something to be incredibly proud of.

We’re also celebrating our Success Stories, Harish Pathapuram and Blessing Harrison-Okpamen. Harish arrived at UEL just two weeks after his MBA Business Analytics with Placement had started, but embraced every opportunity, stepping outside his comfort zone to become a mentor, volunteer and student leader. Blessing showed incredible perseverance, turning his journey from Nigeria into an NHS placement and, ultimately, a full-time position with King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Their stories are a wonderful reminder that the journey doesn’t always go exactly as planned, but with determination, resilience and a willingness to embrace opportunities, it can take you further than you imagined. 💙

It was also lovely to see our RDSBL academics walking alongside our graduates and sharing in their celebrations. To every MBA graduate who crossed the stage today: congratulations. You did it, and we couldn’t be prouder! 🎓✨

Graduation is happening! 🎓🎉

Kicking off today’s 10am ceremony, UEL Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Amanda J. Broderick, welcomes our graduating students and their families, sharing her congratulations and inspiring words throughout the ceremony. She also shares the success stories of graduates Fariha Maharin and Suman Dahal, celebrating their achievements and journeys at UEL 🌟.

Professor Fatima Annan-Diab, Vice-Provost (Business) and Executive Dean of RDSBL, then takes to the stage to celebrate and address our Royal Docks School of Business and Law MBA and postgraduate graduates.

She hands over to Lucian Tipi, Associate Dean for Education and Experience, who proudly announces the names of our graduates, followed by Barry Collins, Head of the Department of Law, Justice and Policing.

Our MBA graduate, Yashwana Nageshwara Rao, delivers the vote of thanks, marking a special moment in today’s celebration.

Congratulations to all our RDSBL graduates! Are you graduating today? Let us know! 🎓

Today we welcomed our postgraduate offer holders to RDSBL for a chance to explore the School, meet our students and get a feel for what studying here is really like.

Our student panel brought together Caleb Jeffery Teye (MSc Oil & Gas Management), Md Yeasin (MBA), Pavan Kella (MSc International Business Management), Inga Jermakian (MBA), and Purna Chandra Sekhar Nakka (MBA FinTech), who shared their experiences and answered questions about postgraduate life.

Md Yeasin spoke about how practice-based learning had exceeded his expectations, with seminars encouraging students to apply theory to real-world scenarios. Inga highlighted the support available from staff, explaining that students could approach them whenever they had questions or needed feedback.

The panel also shared an honest reflection on assessments. Presentations can feel scary at first, but with practice and support from lecturers and staff, that feeling gradually becomes a more “comfortable scary” - a sign of growing confidence.

A special thank you to our practice-based centres, the Legal Advice Centre, Business Advice Centre, and Tax & Accountancy Clinic, for participating in today’s event and showcasing the opportunities available to our students to gain valuable real-world experience.

We’d also like to thank Jaya Kypuram, Academic Manager for Student Recruitment at RDSBL, for helping bring this event to life, and all our RDSBL colleagues for their support in making the day possible.

It was lovely to see our current students and future postgraduates connecting, sharing advice and learning from one another. We look forward to welcoming you back as you begin your postgraduate journey at RDSBL. 💙

RDSBL was pleased to welcome Professor Murthy Y.S.R, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Law at SRM University, to UEL Docklands Campus today. 🙌

Following Professor Siraj Sait’s recent visit to SRM University in Chennai, Professor Murthy’s visit created another valuable opportunity to continue the conversation around collaboration between SRM, UEL and the Royal Docks School of Business and Law.
