LSE Alumni Association 2030 Strategy🚀

As we venture towards 2030, the association is dedicated to achieving three core objectives:

🌇 Connect the Community - Uniting LSE Alumni in London through engaging experiences, learning, and networking for a resilient, connected community

💡 Influence and Inspire - Build a robust alumni-business network, equip for global change, and support entrepreneurial growth.

🌱 Sustain and Grow - Develop a scalable, sustainable engagement model to enhance the LSE London alumni and wider community experience.

Central to our strategy is the concept of placemaking. The LSE Alumni London 2030 Strategy envisions a community where every member feels a deep sense of belonging and engagement.

By embracing the directions set forth in our strategic plan, we aspire to build up a community that is not only inclusive but also actively engaging for all our members.

On Saturday we were proud to host LSE Alumni Association London’s inaugural Afternoon Tea at the LSE Shaw Library.

Attendees were treated to a delicious spread of sandwiches, cakes and bubbles whilst enjoying a riveting fireside chat from Peter Oppenheimer Chief Global Equity Strategist and Head of Macro research in Europe of Goldman Sachs, with our host Nisha Pillai former BBC World News Presenter.

It was extra special to have Peter as he was able to discuss his new book, Any Happy Returns. Peter’s book can be bought on Amazon.

We had over 70 LSE alumni and friends join the event, it was great to see conversations happening across the room and the connections being formed.

We are confident that this marks the beginning of an exciting year, where we have many more events, trips and other experiences planned to continue our goal of connecting like-minded LSE alumni through fun and engaging events.

We hope to see you at an event soon!

🚨AFTERNOON TEA SPECIAL GUEST ANNOUNCEMENT

🎙️The LSE Alumni Association London is proud to reveal that Peter Oppenheimer, Chief Global Equity Strategist at Goldman Sachs and LSE Alum, will be the special guest speaker at our inaugural afternoon tea.

📕In his new book, ‘Any Happy Returns’, Peter Oppenheimer examines how various factors such as changes in the broader economy, international politics, government policies, and shifts in public opinion come together to influence long-term trends in the financial markets. These trends, known as secular super cycles, play a significant role in shaping the returns that investors see on their investments. The book offers a detailed look into the dynamics that drive these cycles and their impact on investment performance.

🪵Hosted by former BBC Broadcaster and LSE Alum Nisha Pillai, this fireside chat promises to be an exciting and stimulating way to start your afternoon tea.
