Did you know? There are about 1.5 million people in the UK who have learning disabilities, but no major news service provides news in an Easy Read format.

In 2013, a support organisation for people with learning disabilities called United Response set up Easy News, an Easy Read online news magazine.

The stories are selected and rewritten by a group of people with learning disabilities and autism spectrum conditions.

Easy News has a regular readership of about 4600 people and it is the main source of news for many of its readers.
