Where does an EGg gO?

Ego is Latin for "I". In psychoanalysis, the ego mediates between the conscious and the unconscious and is responsible for reality testing and a sense of personal identity. That's what we've always been looking for on our 15-month journey - ourselves. We are like unhatched eggs, fresh and tender, undeveloped, and open to almost every possibility, which can be either good or bad, even something thrown out to express ridicule, irony, or resistance. Each individual's unique ideas deserve to be respected, just as how our Expanded Practices flourish here.

Where does an egg go? Into the infinite unknown.

The upcoming book "Metadesigning Designing in the Anthropocene" edited by Professor John Wood is illustrated by alumna Stacey Rossouw:

Long-sighted, radical and provocative, this book offers a foundational framework of concepts, principles, methods (exemplified with selected tools) to enable metadesigners to manage and re-invent their practices. The book reminds readers that designers are, albeit unwittingly, helping to shape the A...
