When Rishika Satyarthi lost her career in policy and government affairs to chronic illness, she found a new purpose and professional path. As the founder of Empower Beauty by Rishika, Rishika is on a mission to fundamentally shift how the beauty industry approaches accessibility, inclusive design, and participation.

This spring, Rishika was recognised as a finalist in the Social Action category at the British Council Study UK Alumni Awards in the USA.

We were delighted to host the Class of 1986 BSc Air Transport Engineering 40th Anniversary Reunion at City St George's last week. 🎉

It was a wonderful opportunity for the cohort to catch up and also learn how their alma mater has changed over the past 40 years. Thank you to Emre Eroktem, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Engineering, for providing a tour of the facilities at the School of Science & Technology. Happy 40th Anniversary! 🎓

The receptions were hosted by Dr Sionade Robinson, Vice President Engagement, Enterprise, and Employability, at City St George's, at the British Consul General’s Residence and The British Ambassador’s Residence respectively.

Banking supervision may evolve into a “profession” akin to medicine and the law, Sam Woods, CEO of the Prudential Regulation Authority, suggested in his delivery of the annual Henry Thornton Lecture at Bayes Business School, Tuesday evening.

“It is necessary, but not sufficient, to be technically proficient at navigating various arcane topics of financial regulation like capital, liquidity and group consolidation ..."

Mr Woods was joined on stage by Bayes Executive Dean Professor Andre Spicer and Deputy Dean Professor Barbara Casu.
