🔷CALL FOR APPLICATIONS - EUROPEAN HUMAN RIGHTS MOOT COURT COMPETITION 🇪🇺
🔴The deadline for team registration is November 1st. Applications from students will require a motivation letter, details of mooting experience, and interest in human rights law specifically. Applications will need to be submitted by October 15th for further review. Please email to [email protected]
General:
🔹Each team may consist of up to 4 participants (2 oralists, 2 coaches). A 100 euro entry fee must be paid upon registration, though the cost of this will be covered by ELSA UCL.
Registered teams must send two written submissions, one for the respondent and one for the applicant, based on the case provided. The case will only be provided to the chosen participants.
🔹Upon sending written submissions, teams participate in regional rounds. These cost 80 euros per oralist and 100 euros per coach. They will be held in Portugal, the Netherlands, and Romania. They are mandatory and the scores given will determine placement in the final rounds, held in Strasbourg at the ECtHR and the Council of Europe.
🔹The winners will each get a month-long traineeship with the ECtHR or Council of Europe.
The competition language is English.
