It is a special issue that celebrates the 10th edition of the seminar series on Language Documentation and the 20th issue of the journal -- this issue is dedicated to various aspects of language documentation and is being officially launched at the Language Documentation Summer School held at the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano 15-19 July 2024.

Coming up in Bolzano, Italy, 15-19 July, the Linguistic Documentation Summer School 2024 (LDSS2024) offers an introduction to field research methods and tools for documenting little-known, minority languages. This year's focus will be on a minority language spoken in the region: Ladin.
Along with regular classes, during LDSS2024 you will visit the Fassa Valley, meet with staff members of the Istitut Cultural Ladin "Majon di Fascegn," who are engaged in language documentation and planning activities, and experience fieldwork with some language speakers.
