Asalaamualaikum warahmatullah. I hope this message finds you all well.

For Ramadan this yr, the ISoc hosts daily iftaars and taraweeh on campus for all students and staff. To make this happen, we are looking for donations insha'Allah.

Alhamdulillah we've managed to successfully offer this programme for every day of Ramadan for the last two years due to generous donations. We're expecting iftaars for about 60/70 people daily and so the daily cost will be about £150-£200.

Please donate generously insha'Allah. Big or small. Massive opportunity to earn reward as well as support and comfort the Muslim community at Imperial. Please also share this with your social chats etc. with other Imperial alumni.

We have a donation page set up to collect donations. BaarakAllahufeekum

Ramadan@Imperial - Iftaar Provisions

This Ramadan, Imperial College Islamic Society will be hosting its Ramadan@Imperial programme for the second year running!

The ISoc will be arranging iftaars and taraweeh for students and staff on campus every day of the blessed month insha'Allah.

But to achieve this, the ISoc is asking for donations to help organise sufficient iftaar provisions. The average daily attendance is expected to be 60 to 70 people and donations of £150 to £200 are needed to cover the daily costs of an iftaar. However, any donation, big or small is massively appreciated.

This is an amazing opportunity to reap the infinite rewards of the blessed month and a great opportunity to support students by enabling them to have a much more comfortable Ramadan while studying for and taking their exams! Please donate generously.

Donations can be made at the following donation page: https://tinyurl.com/Imperialiftaardonate

Zaid ibn Khalid reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever feeds a person breaking his fast will earn the same reward as him without anything being lessened from the reward of the fasting person.” [Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 807]

If you have any further queries or would like to support the programme in other ways, feel free to contact the ISoc at [email protected]

Inna lilllahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing away of Imperial ISoc Alumnus Adil Choudry, Chemistry Graduate Class of 2007.

He will be buried tomorrow in Blackburn and leaves behind a wife and two children. He will be sorely missed.

May Allah forgive forgive all his sins, grant him shade on the Day of Judgement, expand his grave and grant him Jannat al Firdaus. May Allah make this test easy for his family and particularly his children - and raise them as pious Muslims who will continue to make dua for him. Ameen.

We ask everyone to recite a dua for our dear brother and pray for his family during these testing times.
