The City University Law Society is run by students for students and is the largest society by membership at City University. Although the main body of its members is made up of aspiring lawyers, you do not have to be a law student to join the Society. The Law Society organises workshops for students, career opportunities, lectures, the latest news and advice. Nevertheless, the Law Society organise

s social events too. In 2011/12 the Law Society hosted a boat party and a party for RAG week to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Free Representation Unit. We are committed to run events relating to student skill development and employability. In addition, the Society organises mooting and debating, as well as giving guidance on Pro Bono work. In 2011/12, mooting workshops were provided to first year students. City Law School is known for having great results for mooting which is why it is the Law Society's aim to maintain this reputation. The Law Society can help you build your CV, meet and socialise with fellow students interested in the law, and above all make the experience of developing your intellectual capacities all the more enjoyable. The City University Law Society won the Society Officer of the Year Award in 2011.

Last night we had an incredible evening at Juro’s London office for our “Careers in Legal Tech” event 🤖⚖️

Our members got a real insight into the opportunities beyond the traditional legal path, and a deeper understanding of how legal technology is reshaping the industry. From exploring what a career in legal tech actually looks like, to learning about the core principles behind Juro.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, we loved seeing such strong engagement and curiosity throughout the evening!
