Are you autistic and have at least a parent or at least two grandparents born outside the UK?

Would you like to participate in research related to autism assessments and culture?

We are seeking autistic adults from communities of any ethnic background to understand whether autism questionnaires need to be changed and adapted for the needs of the community at large.

If you are:
• Over 18 years old,
• Autistic (self or clinically diagnosed),
• A British citizen with (i) at least one parent who was born outside the UK or (ii) at least two grandparents who were born outside the UK.

Please consider completing our survey by accessing this link https://kclbs.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9NMG4UoxivtHIh0 or scan the QR code!

We want to expand the voices we hear about the use of autism questionnaires and whether the statements used are appropriate, relevant, and representative of everyone’s autistic experiences. We are so grateful for everyone who has been responding to our project and providing their feedback so far.

New exciting research alert!

Together with Nico Remmert and a research team who supports him from Germany, England and the USA, we've launched a significant study.

Ever wondered how doctors or psychotherapists determine if and how severe someone suffers from misophonia?

Until now, misophonia has been assessed through interviews and questionnaires, lacking an objective misophonia test. Nico's team and has worked tirelessly to address this gap and have finally developed a misophonia computer test. But it's not just any test – it's designed to be exceptionally misophonia-friendly.

In this new test, participants listen to sounds and rate their discomfort. Importantly, you can stop or decide whether to listen to any sound at any time.

We aim to contribute to raising awareness and understanding of misophonia in the scientific community and beyond. To achieve this goal and make the misophonia-friendly computer test successful, we need each and every one of you to participate. We need YOUR support!

We are looking for individuals *affected by misophonia or those experiencing misophonia symptoms*. Since this group is not easily reachable, we rely on each and every one of you.

To participate, you must be 18 years old, have 55 to 60 minutes of your time, and access to a computer with a keyboard and headphones. The study is online and accessible via this link:

https://ww3.unipark.de/uc/misophonia_test/

The study includes a brief pre and post-survey, along with our new misophonia test where you listen to sounds and provide evaluations. As a token of our appreciation, you'll get the chance to win one of 48 Amazon vouchers worth £50 or 50$ as well as the gratitude of our entire team!

Help us gain a better understanding of misophonia! Feel free to ask any questions! Spread the word if you’re convinced by the study.
Thank you!
