Submit your nomination to be a part of our committee for the next academic year and bring the changes you want to see!

As students in the East End who mainly study medicine, dentistry or other allied courses, we realise from meeting patients and from being in the area, just how ethnically diverse the population is.

ROUND 2 OF ELECTIONS! 🥳

We still have more roles to fill out so we are running a second round of elections for Secretary, Teaching Officer, Publicity Officer and Events Officer.

If you are interested in being involved with a committee then don't miss this chance! This will look great on your CV's and is a nice way to network with people from different backgrounds and interests in learning a new language.

Nominations will be open from 4th June 9am to 10th June 9am. Voting then opens 10th June 10am and closes 11th June 10am.

We are looking forward to welcoming a new committee for the next academic year!

We are opening nominations for the committee of 2021-2022 on 19th May at 9am! Nominations close on 25th May at 9am.

Voting will then open on 25th May at 12pm and closes at 9pm on 27th May.

The following positions are available:
- Co-presidents: make important decisions and facilitate events by delegating tasks across the committee
- Treasurer: in charge of society grant application, helps members make expense claims and keeps a detailed account of the funds
- Secretary: creates monthly newsletters, takes minutes in meetings and is in charge of email correspondence
- Teaching Officer: organises basic language skills workshops, liaises with other societies to find teachers, takes attendance and creates certificates for attendees and teachers
- Alumni Officer: a current committee member who can use their experience to help guide other committee members or answer any questions
- Publicity Officer: manages Facebook and Instagram accounts and promotes events
- Events Officer: helps organise the multicultural ball and other events such as calligraphy or games workshops

We are looking for pre-clinical representatives for our committee. If you're interested in joining us, please fill in the form!

Our pre-clinical representatives' roles entail sharing our events with their year group through social media, group chats and doing shout-outs at the start of lectures (not currently applicable due to COVID) to spread the word and encourage their peers to attend our events.
