We are so proud of our third year paramedic science students & who, along with Course Director & Pastoral Lead Katie Pavoni, were invited to meet His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales at Milton Keynes’ new Blue Light Hub for World Mental Health Day. Katy & Josh discussed the importance of emergency responder mental health & in particular the challenges facing student paramedics. They described the importance of challenging stigma, reaching out for help & support and how in order to look after others, we have to look after ourselves too 👏🏼 🚑🧠

Saturday, 14th October is Allied Health Professions (AHP) Day, a day to celebrate the impact of our AHP staff, students and alumni. Speaking about what AHP Day means to her, Suzanne Rastrick OBE, Chief Allied Health Professions Officer for England and Visiting Professor in our Centre for Allied Health, says:

“I am proud to be part of a diverse, multidisciplinary community which plays such a central role in providing personalised care. AHP Day is a wonderful opportunity to recognise the incredible contributions and wide-reaching impact of Allied Health professionals. I hope the day inspires Allied Health students at St George’s, who will go on to deliver quality care that will transform the lives of their patients.” St George's, University of London
