⭐️LSC Summer Projects 2021: 1 Day Until Deadline⭐️

London Strategic Consulting - LSC’s summer projects are currently open to applications! Applications will close in 1 days’ time on Wednesday 16 June at 12pm, but they will also be reviewed on a rolling basis, so please apply as soon as you can! Their summer projects will be an empowering experience. You will experience real-world consulting by helping real businesses, whilst developing key soft and hard skills by collaborating with different stakeholders and conducting a variety of different work, and being coached by world-class mentors from elite consulting companies.

This opportunity is open to current members of UCL Business Society, UCL Data Science Society (for LSC Digital only), LSE SU Consultancy Society, current (including both incoming and graduating) students at KCL, University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, and Imperial College London, from all years and disciplines. Prior consulting experience is not required.

LSC is the leading student strategy consultancy in the UK and their aim is to offer students first-hand consulting experience. Their past clients include Pret-A-Manger, TSB, and Hilton. During their first-ever summer projects, you will work in teams to tackle real-world business problems, under the guidance of consultant mentors from firms such as McKinsey and L.E.K. You will develop vital problem-solving, leadership, communication skills as well as acute business acumen.

The ’20/21 Green Finance Committee would like to extend our biggest thank you to everyone who has been involved with our society this year! Despite the challenges we’ve faced navigating the society through a year filled with uncertainty and difficulty, we’re super proud to have provided you all with many engaging and insightful events (26!) that we hope have helped develop your knowledge and interest in sustainable finance.

Introducing our third panelist, John Leiper!

John Leiper is the Chief Investment Officer of Tavistock Wealth and carries direct responsibility for all investments in the Centralised Investment Proposition at the firm. John has more than 10 years’ experience in financial markets having previously worked in a variety of roles at RBS, Morgan Stanley, and Credit Suisse. John holds a BSc in Economics from Warwick University and an MSc in Economic History from the London School of Economics. John Leiper is a CFA charterholder.

Introducing our second panelist, James Peel!

James Peel is a Portfolio Manager at Tavistock Wealth and is responsible for all things Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), having previously worked as a researcher at the British Chamber of Commerce in Taipei. James holds an MA in Economics from the University of St Andrews. He also holds the CFA UK IMD and has passed Level I of the CFA Program.

Introducing our first panelist, Bentley Kaplan!

As a senior analyst in the Capital Goods and Transportation sectors at MSCI ESG Research, Bentley Kaplan’s primary role is in producing industry-specific content, identifying emerging trends and contributing to the iteration of the ESG ratings model. Bentley is also co-host of the ESG Now podcast – a show covering weekly news items through an ESG lens and broader thematic conversations. Prior to joining MSCI, Bentley worked in the climate change sector, designing adaptation projects for vulnerable communities. He also holds a PhD in Zoology from the University of Cape Town in which he focused on resolving human-wildlife conflict.
