A self-described Gaysian Empress of Sydney, Dyan creates electronic hyperpop fused with Beijing opera and traditional Southeast Asian soundscapes.
Named one of the standout acts to watch at BigSound 2023 by and praised by as “sounddesigney”, Dyan has carved out a world entirely of their own blending experimental pop with theatrical, euphoric energy.
From humble beginnings in Malaysia to Sydney’s cabaret stages and now the global electronic scene, the trilingual Chinese-Australian artist has become known for captivating live shows described as “a q***r, euphoric dream you don’t want to wake up from.” Bold. Futuristic. Unfiltered.
