We're pleased to share that Stanmore College has received a Silver award at the TeacherMatic Community Awards 2026! 🥈

The awards recognise outstanding use of AI in education, and we're glad to be included alongside some brilliant educators and organisations doing great work in this space.

For us, this reflects the quiet work happening across the college. Staff finding smarter ways to work, and learners benefiting as a result. We're still learning, still improving, and grateful for the recognition.

Our Animation & Game Design students spent a day at Supercell's London studio, the team behind Clash Royale and Brawl Stars.

They sat down with Technical Artist Ellie to ask how she got into the games industry, had a look around the studio, and saw how a real development team works day to day. As student Sophie said afterwards, the visit showed her exactly how a game studio runs.

Trips like this are part of what a creative media course at Stanmore looks like, alongside the facilities, the teaching, and the kind of connections that help students get a foot in the door.

Phase One of the new build is complete, and rather than describe it ourselves, we wanted to hear from the people who'll actually use the space.

This is a montage of the first few days, an early look with more highlights to come. We spoke to students and staff, including our Principal Annette Cast, for their honest first impressions.

Gerry was just pleased the new lounge gives him a comfortable spot for his lunch. A small thing, but the kind of detail that tells you a space is working as it should.

What better way to prepare for the world of work than the real thing?

Students from our Personal Social Development and Employability ASDAN courses stepped into the hot seat for a Mock Interview Workshop, and they rose to the occasion.

Drawing on their work experience placements, they talked through teamwork, responsibility, and the skills they have picked up along the way, walking out with a real boost in confidence and a clearer sense of what they are capable of.

Months of teamwork, problem-solving and serious technical graft all came down to one moment: our T Level Engineering students presenting their industry-inspired conveyor belt prototype, to the team at Powerday's Head Office.

The verdict? Engineering and sustainability leaders were genuinely impressed.

Their work earned real praise and an invitation back on site to learn alongside Powerday's own engineers, a brilliant glimpse of where these skills can take them.
