Lecturer, journalist and broadcaster Seán Williams gives the Ingeborg Bachmann Centre's Biennial Lecture on 19 May 2026 at the University of London Senate House. In his lecture, Williams looks at three non-conforming writers who were drawn to Switzerland and spiritualist contemplation in nature for the articulation of the self: Rainer Maria Rilke, Algernon Blackwood, and Franca Kraig.
