Difference Works is a strengths-based approach to help students with specific learning differences find the right career.

The industry desperately needs people with different styles of thinking, learning and approaching problems. Today’s challenges are so complex that extra-ordinary thinking is required.

Some people have specific and named neurodiversity like dyslexia, Autism or ADHD. This event will help in aiding students to identify their strengths and apply to the right company for them so that they can flourish and work to the best of their ability.

This event will be taking place TOMORROW (Wednesday 28th February) at 1pm in room B104.

On Tuesday 31st October City University of London will be hosting a Speed Networking event for Mathematics students on any of the degree courses. You MUST register in advance for this event. Numbers are strictly limited and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Traditional lectures and panel discussions offer limited opportunities for you to seek personal advice from guest speakers. This event will give you the chance to talk to professionals in small groups. We hope that this will help you to make better informed decisions about your careers and stronger applications for jobs or placements.

A number of industry experts will be represented including financial services, IT and teaching. Confirmed guests so far include representatives from JP Morgan, Cantor Fitzgerald, Buzzacott, The Medical Research Council and Barclays

The event will take place in the Northampton Suite at City University and students need to arrive promptly for a 6:00pm start. The event will run until 8.30pm and then we will serve light refreshments until 9.00pm giving you a chance to network with industry experts. Students should dress smartly for the event.
