This is the last edition of Jet Stream for the semester. It features the brand-new logo for the newsletter, designed by a first-year student. There's mention of several upcoming opportunities including the launch of the climate education conversations (starting today!), a new wellbeing module called Time to Thrive for first year students and the Sustainability Team's careers workshops running in April. We also say goodbye to Lazara, Student Engagement Officer and Jet Stream Editor. Farewell 👋🏽.

This Friday 1 April, King’s Sport are running two wellbeing sessions - yoga and meditation, exclusively for King's Geography students. There are 17 spaces available for each. If you’d like to go, please email me stating which session you'd like to attend. It’ll be first come, first served: ...

Anna Christoforou received the 'Best Thesis Award' from our Master’s in Geopolitics, Territory and Security last year. Her dissertation focused on the Australian parliamentary debate on the rights of Australian asylum seekers to adequate healthcare. In this blog, Anna discusses the steps the UK Government is taking to align themselves with Australia’s asylum policy. Anna is currently working at the Cabinet Office, and working on applying to PhD programmes in New Zealand, to continue research on the rights of refugees, and their representation in political rhetoric.
