LGBTQ Histories at UCL, 25 February 2015, 6–8pm.
Scheduled to coincide with Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Trans History Month, this event will include short talks on some of UCL’s particularly celebrated alumni. It will also be an opportunity to discuss some of challenges we face when trying to ‘reclaim’ or ‘out’ figures from past who may not have understood themselves in terms of categories such as le***an, gay, bisexual, transgender or q***r.
With contributions from Bob Mills (History of Art Department, UCL), Alex Parsons (English Department, UCL), and Jeffrey Weeks (Emeritus Professor, London South Bank).
This event will take place in the Wilkins Garden Room, UCL. It be followed by a reception. All welcome, booking not necessary.
