Final year students, there’s still time to share your experience of studying at University of Staffordshire London by completing the National Student Survey (NSS).

Behind the scenes: join second year Games Art Student Veronika as she spends the week developing a game at Game Jam 4 all, an accessibility focused game jam.

The event, run as a collaboration between University of Staffordshire London, University of Staffordshire and Tencent Europe, brought together 120 students from our Staffs Uni Games Institute for an intensive week of designing inclusive, fully playable games.

On Sunday we wrapped up Game Jam 4 All, a collaborative event with University of Staffordshire London, University of Staffordshire, Staffs Uni Games, and Tencent Europe.

Since the kick-off event on Monday 23 February, teams of students have been working hard to create games around the theme of community, with various prompts centred around accessibility.

The week culminated in teams from both our London and Stoke-on-Trent campuses presenting their games to a panel of judges, including Charline Foch, John Dickens, Craig Donovan and James Gallimore.

Congratulations to everyone involved, including our runners-up, The Polos and Evil Meat, and the winning teams from each campus, Different Page Games in Stoke-on-Trent and Guiding Signal in London.

Yesterday, was the kick-off event for Game Jam 4 all, a collaboration between University of Staffordshire London, University of Staffordshire, and Tencent Europe.

The week launched with a day of inspiring industry talks and panel discussions all about accessibility in video games and play without barriers.

The theme of this Game Jam is community, with various prompts centred around accessibility. Over the course of the week, Staffs Uni Games students will work in teams to develop their games ready to present to a panel of industry judges this Sunday, 1 March.

Good luck to everyone taking part – we can’t wait to see what you create using innovation and inclusive thinking.
