Looking back at last year, when we welcomed students from our partner institution Tisch School of the Arts, New York .

They worked with legendary choreographer Lea Anderson to recreate a section of her seminal work Yippeee!!!, and with the hip hop powerhouse dance company Boy Blue on a restaging of their 2018 project R.E.B.E.L.

We can’t wait to welcome a new group of students from this spring! They’ll be collaborating with our second-year BA (Hons) Contemporary Dance students and choreographers on Dance Legends 2026, restaging works by Boy Blue and Merce Cunningham, and working with Daniel Squire and Seeta Patel.

"At the forefront of what a great dancer can be lies the person's identity. The CAT scheme fostered a place where individuality was celebrated and welcomed."

This year, Trinity Laban celebrates the 20th anniversary of our Centre for Advanced Training. We spoke to alum Hannah Joseph about choreography and her experience of Trinity Laban's CAT. From touring with Company Wayne McGregor to presenting her works at Sadler's Wells and the Jersey Opera House, Hannah is a boundary-breaking dance artist and choreographer. This month, she joined forces with the Trinity Laban Youth Dance Company to present Current State, an electrically charged piece spotlighting the themes of reintegration and community.
