In August Dr Dionyssis G. Dimitrakopoulos was awarded the Jean Monnet Chair in Parliamentary Democracy and European Integration at Birkbeck, University of London, on a competitive basis for a period of three years (Decision Nr. 620445 of the EU’s Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency). This is the first Jean Monnet Chair in Birkbeck’s history.
This project (which is supported by the EU’s Erasmus+ programme) includes a whole range of activities related to teaching on the politics of European integration, plus a series of events that are open to the public and research.
