SOAS (CCCAC) Centre of Contemporary Central Asia and the Caucasus The CCCAC is the forum for Central Asian-related research activities at SOAS, University of London

The principal role of the Centre is to promote, coordinate and disseminate information relating to, the academic study of Central Asia and the Caucasus across the disciplines and to act as a resource for academic, governmental, non-governmental and business constituencies with an interest in Central Asia and the Caucasus. It does so through the research and publications of its staff, new teaching programmes, an established seminar series and special events.

SOAS and KazNU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and engaged in positive discussion on the possibility of interdisciplinary academic and student mobility. The two higher education institutions also discussed the scope for research collaboration, and SOAS hosting doctoral and post-doctoral scholars who would be funded by the Bolashak ('Future') Programme of the Kazakhstani Government.
