Applications are now open for the MA Social Media and Digital Communication. The course has run every year since 2013, and now has over 100 graduates from over 20 countries. Under its old name of MA Social Media, Culture & Society the course received 100% overall satisfaction ratings in the national Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey for 2018 and 2019, and course leader Professor Graham Meikle won a prestigious national teaching award in 2019. We have changed the name of the degree as we think this new title better reflects what we do on the course. As part of this change, we have added some exciting new option modules for September 2020 that explore the rise of Big Data, AI and the Internet of Things, all of which connect very directly with social media.
