Senior appointment announcement📢👏🏽

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Professor Jason Hallett as incoming Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, succeeding Professor Omar Matar from 1 October 2026.

Professor Hallett brings extensive leadership, experience and strategic vision to the role as the Department continues to drive excellence in research, innovation and teaching.

Professor Omar Matar will take up the position of Dean of Imperial's Faculty of Engineering.
