𝗣𝗢𝗩: 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗖𝗖 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹

Last year, 25 Imperial teams joined Venture Catalyst Challenge with bold ideas, early-stage ventures and the ambition to build something with real-world impact. Over three months, they refined their ideas, strengthened their pitches, worked with coaches and experts, and pushed their ventures closer to commercial reality.

Then came the Grand Final.

5 finalist teams took to the stage, representing ideas across AI, environment, health, digital and consumer innovation, pitching to judges, sharing their stories, and competing for a share of £100,000 in equity-free funding.

The highlight video captures what VCC is really about: the energy in the room, the confidence founders build, the conversations that happen beyond the pitch, and the moment an idea starts to feel like something much bigger.

Our founders found out at the National Women in Enterprise Conference hosted by the Loughborough Enterprise Network!

From hearing Anna Brightman share how UpCircle Beauty grew into a global brand to workshops with Sri Hollema, Izzy Mintus, and Natasha Bonsu, and a panel on funding with Rajinder Bhuhi, the day was packed with real, practical insights.

A huge thank you to the Loughborough Enterprise Network for creating a space where founders could learn, connect, and leave inspired to act. 💪

Everyone loves the startup headline - the fundraise, the breakthrough, the success story.

But yesterday at the Enterprise Lab’s Female Founder Panel, the conversation was about everything in between.

Natalie Cooke (Surgery AI), Anahita Laverack (Oshen), Chloe So (PulpaTronics), and Rojeanne Stoffer (Arcus Dental), moderated by Georgie, shared the realities behind building a startup from imposter syndrome to making your first hires and finding mentors who truly challenge your thinking.

A reminder that most founders don’t start with confidence.

They build it along the way.

EarthScale is back for cohort 2! 🌍

Applications are OPEN for our national 12-month programme that helps climate tech ventures scale from prototype to commercialisation.

What’s in it for you? Each company receives a venture diagnostic to develop a tailored programme of support, which can include:
🏭 Access to cutting-edge labs, facilities and university expertise via pre-paid innovation vouchers.
🤝 Investor introductions and 1:1 investment readiness support.
💡Support on hiring, executive talent and navigating policy, certifications and regulations.

The programme is open to UK-based ventures developing climate solutions for net zero or climate resilience at TRL/SwRL 5-6, with seed funding already raised. The focus is on hardware and hybrid solutions, with limited places for software-only ventures.
