'Peace’ by Aristophanes at Chickenshed, 1st Nov, 6-7 pm.

Join us for a special performance of Peace by Aristophanes, a timeless comedy first staged in 421 BCE. Premiering just days before a peace treaty between Athens and Sparta, this play’s message of hope is as relevant today as ever.

Some of our students are taking part to the performance. Our colleague Dr Giovanna Di Martino worked on this as a dramaturg and translator, she will give two talks after the event, one in Oxford and the other in Bristol.
