We’re so proud of them! This trip hasn’t gone with its challenges (they did travel to the other side of the world after all) but they’ve done incredibly well to overcome challenges and tackle things head on. 💪🏼

INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY ALERT 🚨

University of East London students have been given the phenomenal opportunity to attend GIS's Global Sports Summit in Atlanta, based at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. This is usually an exclusive event for students at UCFB, our esteemed partner - they have kindly opened up spaces just for you!

The summit is based around seven days of specially tailored talks, workshops, exclusive networking opportunities and visits specific to the North American sports industry.

What does the Summit Include?

- Enhance your knowledge of the US sports industry from professionals working at some of the biggest organisations in the United States;
- Understand and see first-hand how sport operates in one of the biggest and most successful markets in the world;
- Network with industry decision-makers and enhance your employment opportunities in the North American sports industry;
- Experience incredible live sport at one of the world's best stadiums!

For £750, students are provided accommodation, match tickets, tours, coach travel to venues. Students would need to consider budgets to separately support themselves while outbound, as well as paying for flights however there is funding support that may be used to assist with this.

Funding opportunities for studying abroad 💰

Studying abroad doesn’t have to be expensive and as complicated as you think! UEL has secured funding to support our students with studies and traineeships overseas - you could be eligible for this!

We think everyone deserves to experience an opportunity abroad while studying with us, no matter your background. The Turing Scheme specifically targets this, widening opportunities for those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Bonus: yes, even our international students can apply! These opportunities are open to all and we are keen to give as many students as possible life incredibly life changing overseas experiences!

UEL Health, Sports and Bioscience students representing while visiting our wonderful partner in Chennai, India! 🇮🇳

Students are currently studying a short course in Applications of Nanotechnology in Healthcare and Agriculture and Drug Designing. They also have the fantastic opportunity to participate in cultural and industrial visits while studying abroad.

The trip is supported by the Turing Scheme funding, with students receiving support for flights and accommodation.
